Unravel – Pernille Egeskov

I familier?

At noget opløses.

How long is the thread of life? What does the complex tissue that binds people together in pairs look like? In families? Can one repair relationships that are about to go up in the seams? These are some of the questions that arise in the exhibition Unravel.

“Two unravel” literally means to unravel, to make the individual threads in a fabric split. That something dissolves. In a figurative sense, on the other hand, the word can indicate clarifying something, such as unraveling a story and finding its true context. The double meaning of the word thus balances between resolution and cognition. In Pernille Egeskov’s universe, these two apparent opposites are closely intertwined.
